You can do this with a spreadsheet. Type the following values into the spreadsheet in the cells indicated. Format all three cells to integer.
A1: 2.4
B1: 2.3
C1: =A1+B1

You will see 2, 2, and 5. This takes advantage of the difference between what is stored and acted upon and what is displayed. (Rounding.)
