That's so great - I'm happy for you guys. UT was up 28-0 early in the fourth against Tulane, so we may have more than we can handle with the Children of the Corn this year. ;-)

Just had an email from Anne (Stewart's mom). The Golf Channel put a mike and camera on her and Rob all day today and they're putting on a program tonight about "parents watching their son in the Ryder Cup" or something like that.

She didn't know when it was going to be on, but just stay tuned to TGC and look for someone who looks just like me! ( Oh yeah, y'all don't know what I look like either---LOL!)

You might have thought that Madeleine Albright — the one who could never quite figure out whether she was Jewish or not, or was it whether or not her father was? — the woman who will go down in a sad footnote to history as the first American Secretary of State to actually, literally, dance with a dictator (in North Korea no less), would be so ashamed of her miserable performance in office that she would restrain herself when asked her opinion of the president's request for authorization to blast Saddam to a higher level of reality.

But no. She is a Democrat, and Democrats are in a drooling frenzy over Saddam these days. "It is not an American trait to want war," she says.

I don't know what a SIU is, but congrats on Iowa and Iowa State today. Unfortunately, the Illini lost miserably to Michigan, but oddly enough, they did beat themselves. Is that a win?

I'm back. I went to California to be with my mother. She had a massive stroke, for which she will not recover. Too make a long story short, mom, was doing OK when I got there, but went down hill on Thursday. I left her in a coma, and resting peacefully, as we await her final day. Please keep praying as my little sister is taking this badly. I know mom will be with the Lord soon, as she was a born again Catholic Christian. It was our relationship with the Lord, that made our relationship special. I will keep all of you posted.

The ex-wife of pardoned tax cheat Marc Rich threw a cocktail party at her triplex penthouse the other night to introduce Roman jeweler Paolo Pinardi to her New York friends. On Tuesday, she flew off for London for a week of songwriting with European musicians, with plans to meet up with Paolo in Paris for the 50th anniversary of Chopard at Versailles. To borrow from Mae West, it's not just the men in her life, it's the life in her men.
