Iowa Granny - any turnaround in opinion since the Harkin "bugging" revelations? You cited a poll in the previous thread, but I believe you noted that it was taken before the whole story had been revealed, and Harkin still had a substantial lead at that time.
This morning's DM Register reports the remarkable news that Harkin has pulled ahead with double diget numbers.

A five-year-old boy was assaulted by a group of children in a Bronx school bathroom, and a 12-year-old was arrested on charges of sodomy in connection to the attack, authorities said Saturday.
The incident occurred at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Public School 50 in the Tremont section, said Det. Dennis Laffin, a police spokesman.
Laffin said a group of boys, ages five to 12, punched and kicked the boy, and then two of the suspects sexually assaulted him. full story at Newsday.
My son is in the navy and stationed in Denver. Yesterday he met the President! Mr. Bush shook his hand and asked where he he was from. My son said West Virginia sir. The President said "thats West by God Virginia right"? He then said America thanks you. No I or me like billy jeff.

Remember the story of Papa Bush coming up to Stewart at the President's Cup in 1999? It was at the official opening dinner. Stew & Lisa were still sitting at their table after dinner when President Bush (I) came toward him with his hand outstretched. As he reached Stewart he said, "I don't know if you remember me, but we met once before at....". Stewart said, "Why of course I remember you Mr. President!". GHWB said, "Well, I was just Vice President then". How cute is that?!
Thursday night, my best friend's ten-year-old son was beaten by two fifteen-year-olds.
Why?
They were playing football and if he left the group as he was supposed to by dusk, they would not have enough players for their team. His mother and father heard him scream and dad went running. He had the boy on the ground, and was punching him, and was slamming his head against the ground. Several weeks earlier, this delinquent had tried to beat this boy's cousin with a two by four. My friend's husband called the state police. The person answering the phone culdn't be bothered. My friend's husband was encouraged to "Work it out with the parents." One of the father's of these twits believes in solving everything with a fistfight. My friend found out this man was convicted either of showing porn to children, or child pornography.
Charming.
Her husband asked what legal options he had, and the desk person said they could arrest the boys, but they could in turn accuse the ten-year-old of assault, and he would be arrested too. Can you believe this sh*t? What it boils down to is no one can be bothered to take care of business.
Because my father is a retired member of the state police, I consulted him as what to do next. I am now waiting to hear after Monday what is going to be done about this. She is going over the twit on the phone's head to the top man at the station, and if she obtains no satisfaction there, she'll go all the way up until she gets satisfaction. When the police no longer care, and allow criminals to terrorize citizens they are negligent.
God help us!
