Let's take a little break from politics, shall we, and move on to the serious business of losing our lunches (so to speak):

Actress Susan Sarandon is so sexy she once convinced a gay man to go straight! And the gorgeous "Thelma & Louise" star gave the guy a rave review in the popular gay magazine Out. "I had a longtime relationship with someone who is gay. He was fabulous," she said. "He had never been with a woman before."

The broad-minded star — who now lives with actor Tim Robbins and their children — says she's open to all kinds of relationships. "I don't like any kind of labels," she said. ". . . It's not about gender — the hardest part is deciding if you want to truly be intimate with another person."

Well, it's in the National Enquirer, so it must be true!!

You'll want to hear what your former "Guv" is up to:

Hey, that was Ann Richards, who used to be governor of Texas, turning heads Monday afternoon in Pacific Heights. She, and her unmistakable curly white locks, were outside Harry's Bar. The occasion was a fund-raiser [in San Francisco] for fellow Texan Ron Kirk, who is running for U.S. Senate back home. ...

Ann Richards is famous for her line about George H.W. Bush's having been "born with a silver foot in his mouth." George W. Bush beat her in the governor's race. She's let it all go by, she told Bruce. "George Bush was my governor and my president," she explained. "I have no bad feelings toward him or the family. I just think he could use my advice."

.... The guv has no interest in returning to politics directly. She's a consultant now, and spends half her time in Austin and in New York, which she adores. Does she see the Clintons in N.Y.? "I saw Bill when I went uptown to Harlem to visit his office. I saw him once in Aspen. Since Hillary took office, I hardly see her. You see, in politics, if you don't have something to offer or something to ask for, there isn't any time for people. You have to want public office more than anything. It comes before your family, your friends. You don't have a night off -- you have a fund-raiser. If you want a life, as most people know it, then you don't want a political life." SF Examiner.

Yes I'm sure it was right by the item about the space aliens who are demanding a ransom for Elvis' brain.
