Things are starting to add up now. You mean like your drivel about "dated" DNA and a "pre-emptive strike". Gee, I would have thought that Ed's DNA from a week before would have produced the same "dating" as a week later - ESPECIALLY since DNA can't be dated.
Did you even think about this before you hit the "Post" button, because your post is incredibly ignorant of reality.

Re: Palladin's statement to the effect that DNA (in the jeep) can be dated if it's on something that has a date, such as a newspaper or receipt--
Can you BELIEVE this one???!
I'm trying really hard to figure out the scenario that must have been in the poster's mind when they posted that gem.
Ed gets in the jeep to drive it away, cuts himself and bleeds "DNA" onto, say, that day's newspaper which just happens to be lying there...
A few days later, Ed and Rick make up and Rick comes back to work for Ed and Ed lets him drive the jeep again...
Knowing that it could be an important point in clearing him OVER A YEAR LATER, Rick carefully wraps the bled-on, DNA-laden newspaper in a ziplock plastic bag, and solemnly places it in a safety deposit box...
GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!
