so then MK could not have recognized the voice and could not identify who she heard and saw....then all this exp. that Ricci had with going into houses at night to steal with people sleeping is wasted and all his exp. with the inner workings of the house is wasted too since "the better informned posters" contend that he Ricci did not go into the house..
you cannot have it both ways....either Ricci did it based on the fact that HE knew the house and it was HIS M.O. to go into houses at night or HE DID NOT....
It seems people can find any scenario to make Ricci the perp, no matter how ambiguous but heaven's , just don't draw anyone else respectable into the equation.....
There it is in a nutshell. There is hostility on this board for "respectable" people, or respectable-appearing people. Why, I cannot imagine, since I really think everyone posting on this board is respectable themselves.
I guess it's more fun to defend a loser, than to defend people like the Smarts--b/c maybe some posters here think the Smarts would be rejecting of them if they ever met them. Do those posters think that had they met Rick, he would have turned out to be the greatest friend they ever made?
To me it seems people can, and do, find any scenario to keep from considering Ricci as having done this.
I have so strongly felt the need to counter the unrealistic rah-rah posts about Ricci, that I haven't even had time to suspect one of the Smarts lately--and I have periodically suspected Ed or Tom or even another one. But even if a relative of Elizabeth's is involved, that doesn't make all her other relatives bad people.
I know that logic isn't one of your strengths, but Ricci having an accomplice AND MK recognizing a voice and identifying who she heard are not mutually exclusive. Sherlock and others have long maintained as you should very well know that Ricci could have easily planned this escapade by providing the M.O., target, the floorplan, a key and a getaway vehicle. There were at least two other workmen that worked at the Smart home during the Ricci period whose voices MK could have recognized.
