In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

eleemosynary \el-e-MOS-i-ner-ee; el-ee-uh-MOS-i-ner-ee\, adjective:

2. Given in charity or alms; having the nature of alms; as, ``eleemosynary assistance''
3. Supported by charity; as, ``eleemosynary poor.''

It was just the leaflet and I provided everything else. At the time I started doing those the local fabric shop had a special on bulk AIDA cloth and I bought yards of verious difference colors and stitch counts. I actually still have enough of the same cloth I used for the other 2 to do the next 2 in the series. sometime in my lifetime I hope!!!

oh those are also very nice!

once i have a spare minute, i need to get to the eye dr. I am afraid i am going to need bifocals or something, the stitching is straining my eyes! i tend to do stuff on the very small count fabrics, like 32ct. and the last one, the tiny bee one, is 32 ct. OVER ONE! i could not do that today with my eyes this bad!

I pin them to the board and then lace them. I haven't gotten the hang of the boards that are self adhesive.

I did some small seashells for a friend a few years back and used enbroidery hoops to frame them. No need for taping or lacing and they can be washed if every necessary.

A friend of mine who already wears bifocals loves those small counts, she adores using linen. She got one of those magnifying lamps that sit on the floor and over your work. 28ct is about as experimental as I have gotten, I tend to stick with 14.

and speaking of work, I've got to scoot. There is a hearing tonight about the smoking ban enforcement and I'm meeting with some owners to work out our plan of attack.

Here I go - off to the bar again, story of my life I guess!!!

Thank you Tiger - and now I really have to go.

it's pouring rain and I've got to get on the highway, which I despise even in the best of eather - but in the rain it is the pits.

see you all a little later!!!
