In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
eleemosynary \el-e-MOS-i-ner-ee; el-ee-uh-MOS-i-ner-ee\, adjective:
eleemosynary, noun

3. Supported by charity; as, ``eleemosynary poor.''
``It is noteworthy that the heyday of laissez-faire, the middle and late nineteenth century in Britain and the United States, saw an extraordinary proliferation of private eleemosynary organizations and institutions.'' --Milton Friedman, Capitalism and Freedom Etymology: The source of eleemosynary is Medieval Latin eleemosynarius, from Late Latin eleemosyna, alms, from Greek eleemosyne, from eleemon, pitiful, from eleos, pity.

Oooh, I like that.
When I started collecting Botanical Garden, I could only afford to buy two plates at a time. Once a month I bought something new. It was fun just collecting. Now we use the dishes every day. In fact, the 'bot has a few dirty pasta bowls in his room right now. Arrrggghhhh! I've found pasta bowls can be used for pretty much anything.
