In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
animadversion \an-uh-mad-VUR-zhun\, noun:
1. Harsh criticism or disapproval.
2. Remarks by way of criticism and usually of censure; adverse criticism; reproof; blame.
Etymology: Animadversion is from Latin animadversio, animadversion-, from animadversus, past participle of animadverto, animadvertere, to turn the mind toward, from animus, mind, spirit + adverto, advertere, to turn toward, from ad, toward + verto, vertere, to turn.

Jesse Jacka$$'s
animadversion earns him a great big STFU award.
Jesse Jacksons face fills the screen. He's discussing what it will take to remove Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq. Since hes not gonna volunteer, it means you have to kill Hussein. In order to get to him youre going to have to kill a lot of innocent people - to get to him. Its reminiscent of biblical times killing all those children to get to Jesus.

Its reminiscent of biblical times killing all those children to get to Jesus. WHAT is he talking about??? there were no children killed when Jesus was crucified. What mail order ministry did he graduate from????

Slaves
Hebrews born to serve, to the pharaoh
Heed
To his every word, live in fear
Faith
Of the unknown one, the deliverer
Wait
Something must be done, four hundred years
So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born pharaoh son
I'm creeping death
Now
Let my people go, land of goshen
Go
I will be with thee, bush of fire
Blood
Running red and strong, down the Nile
Plague
Darkness three days long, hail to fire
So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born pharaoh son
I'm creeping death
Die by my hand
I creep across the land
Killing first born man
Die by my hand
I creep across the land
Killing first born man
I
Rule the midnight air the destroyer
Born
I shall soon be there, deadly mass
I
Creep the steps and flood final darkness
Blood
Lambs blood painted door, I shall pass
So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born pharaoh son
I'm creeping death

I think he was referring to Herod's slaughter of the innocents at the time of Jesus' birth.
