I've been a Superman fan (not to mention Bats, Spidey, Flash, FF & everything else in the comic pantheon for that matter) for a long time.

When Christopher Reeve donned the big red "S" in "Superman", I thought the ads were right: "You'll believe a man can fly."

I loved the John Byrne reboot of the franchise after 1985's landmark "Crisis" saga. I understood the reasons, the rationale, the logic behind it. Not only that, but Byrne's Superman rocked. It didn't violate the original continuity.

The biggest change it introduced was that Lex Luthor was reborn as Donald Trump. Not only that, but the interaction among the characters was much more realistic over the ensuing years.

I had patience when Clark & Lois got married. I had patience during the Doomsday/"Death of Superman" saga. I even had some patience during the "Electric Superman Red/Blue" stories.

But whatever moron came up with this bilgewater needs to have his head examined. If they film this monstrosity, it'll end up being the biggest dud in history. Passing "Ishtar." Passing "The Postman." Passing "Waterworld." Passing "Glitter."

I'm warning you, DC Comics...don't let 'em do it. Don't let 'em destroy the legend...

I hear they are already calling this "Krypton's Gate"

In the AOL TimeWarner universe, DC Comics is a tiny cog. So the loonies at Warner Brothers can do whatever they want.

You'd think they'd learn how distorting the tales destroyed the Batman movie series or that they'd noticed how Marvel's had great success recently by making movies that are faithful to the comics. Heck, their biggest franchise, Harry Potter, succeeded by being very faithful to the source material.
