Actually The Shield is loosely based on LAPD Rampart division they dont' mention the name you could tell if you are from LA that is Rampart division OH YEAH

Hi Betty, Hi HHL, got my first ping. I'm psyched.

Martin Sheen does not deserve an emmy though I know he goes to bed every night convinced he does.

He overacts that part which is based on a basically simple character. Though the character IS the president, he is written by somebody's notion of what a president should be and what no president has ever been.
