I think this has been going on for awhile, it just hasn't been talked about so openly. When I think back to my childhood, there were certain mothers that I recall that took every opportunity to get their children out of their house, and to the neighbors.

We had a neighbor from our first apartment that did this to her children when they were young. She would lock them out of the house so she could clean, and have time to herself.(Her former neighbors told me this) They would be locked outside in all kinds of weather. Things were so bad, that they were having dinner with the neighbors. When her husband, a building contractor, found out what she was doing he was furious, and later divorced her. The woman never had good relations with her children after. Scary thing was, she became a teacher! She started dating after the divorce and was dumped suddenly. She could not handle the rejection and hung herself in her apartment.

I believe those women you saw don't just dislike motherhood, they do not like their husbands! I would bet those women you saw were selfish and neurotic, the type of women who cannot stand to have messy handprints on their walls or anything spilled on the kitchen floor. I've seen these people in action, I would not give them a dog to care for.

What did Dr. Phil have to say?

I would tell them that motherhood is the most rewarding job they will ever have, and they will some day regret their bitterness.

I just got off the phone with my best friend. It seems her co-workers at Head Start are in a tizzy because of some legislation that is going to allegedly be proposed by the President. Her co-workers claim that he will try to replace paid employees with volunteers if his legislation is enacted. She is not having a meltdown, and told them she would just find a nursing job.

Does anyone know about the President's real position on this issue? I thought he favored Head Start.

The powdered look works for Larry the K. (Some sort of comedy sketch honoring Milton Berle last night.)

I couldn't find anything that specifically says volunteers instead of paid workers. Here's a link to Funding for Early Childhood Care and Education. Maybe you can sift through it and find what you need.

Geez, ask your friend, 6.5 Billion isn't enough? Perhaps the president is talking about supplementing the employees with volunteers?

Thanks for the link, I initially went there and could find nothing about volunteers replacing paid employees. It never says that. Quite honestly, I'm suspicious that some RAT is trying to make this an issue with some voters for the upcoming election. These folks bought it hook, line and stinker.

Larry King is serenading Bill Clinton, when the ex-Pres lets out a gigantic sneeze, and covers Larry with the contents on the top of his desk.

some RAT is trying to make this an issue with some voters for the upcoming election.

What else have they got? Nada. And there's no giving them facts, so turn it around on them. Ask them to produce the legislation, article, paper that states specifically who, what, where and when.

That usually shuts them up.

That is exactly what I did, so she's going to ask them tomorrow. I want proof, not unfounded accusations and downright lies.

Your day went well I hope. Things are very slow around here today but I think things are about to heat up.

Saddam must be stopped - Blair (PM SAYS: IT'S WAR)

I'm beginning to like Mr. Blair more and more. I really like the fact that he waited until the elections in Germany were over to release this dossier of evidence against Iraq.

To make things even sweeter, algore shot his mouth off today. Buh-bye Al, you're irrelevant!

Ha! I knew a smart lady like you wouldn't let them get away with such Barbara Striesand!

Bet they come up empty handed. Oh, and maybe these teachers could not take a raise this year. Sure it's not what we all would want, but it's for the children!

Hmmmmm, things are heating up where you are!

Ganske Claims Campaign Meeting Was Bugged
Republicans Call For State, Federal Investigation

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Ganske campaign officials and state Republican leaders are calling for a state and federal investigation into the apparent taping of a campaign strategy session. Congressman Greg Ganske is challenging incumbent Democrat Tom Harkin in the race for U.S. Senate.

In letters to the U.S. attorney and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, campaign officials said someone at the Sept. 3 meeting either was wearing a wire or illegally taped the conversation. [snip]

Whadzzup with this?

Yes, I was off searching for a copy of this article that had some documentation to it. You beat me to it!

I received a notification of this in an email over the weekend, so there was no news source credited. I hesitated to post a personal email to myself.

I stopped at the Capitol a minute today while I was in DM, it was certainly a hot topic for discussion. I saw the newsperson (woman) who was the first to see a transcript of the phone call. She was walking with her head down, trying not to attract attention.

Hmmm, well I think I figured out this guy's problem. I'll bet he has Napoleon complex, or short man syndrome. I just was watching a bit of the E! repeat of the Emmys, and he was standing next to Joan Rivers. I've seen Joan in person, and in 4 inch heels, she's maybe 5'4" tops. Sheen barely cleared her, from what I could tell, so he could be about 5'5" or 5'6".

Here he is being shown for the truly insignificant thing he is.

My mind has been elsewhere.

Understandably.

I'm sure you'll see the bore's speech at some point, here's what CNN has:

In his first major speech on the situation in Iraq since February, Gore said he's "deeply concerned" that Bush's stated willingness to proceed without backing from an international coalition "has the potential to seriously damage our ability to win the war against terrorism and to weaken our ability to lead the world in this new century."

"Great nations persevere and then prevail. They do not jump from one unfinished task to another," Gore said during a 55-minute speech at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco. "We are perfectly capable of staying the course in our war against Osama bin Laden" while simultaneously building an international coalition against the Iraqi president.

Click for the rest if you need a nap.

Do you think this new development will help Ganske?
