Believe me, they would have been more than welcome. When I make it from scratch I make ALOT of it. There is probably enough left for 4 more dinners for the 3 of us.
Even though it was a last minute decision, it has long term benefits - I plan on going out and getting VERY drunk tomorrow, so will be in no mood for cooking dinner - this way it's already done and I can be guilt free as I party for my birthday.
I am very fortunate that I do not have picky eaters in this household. there are very few things that Jax won't eat, so if she says she doesn't like something, I take her word for it.

i really am not a
hard@$$ on making them eat stuff, i generally try to make at least one thing that they will eat, but make them try the other stuff. I have to say that they are all lightyears better eaters than their father. A LOT of the problem will stem from them eating junk too close to dinner time or sucking down a bunch of drink, which xsboy in particular is famous for.
