Yet there was Rahall, trying to salvage some positive spin from the failed trip, trying to get anyone to buy that his trip was at least partly responsible for Saddam’s latest bogus offer of letting weapons inspectors into Iraq. Who believe this but him? Saddam does what he does for his own reasons – not because some low-level Congressional Democrat took a junket to Baghdad.

Who is Rahall most loyal to these days? The United States? Or groups like this shady bunch?
