Thanks for the report, knighthawk. Isn't it great to have freepers waiting for you at every stop in the US! Texas would amaze you, and perhaps LA and SanFrancisco too. My Italian friends love Miami, the only city in the US, they claim, that understands "la dolce vita."
We have an active freeper chapter in Seattle and we'd be delighted to show you the sights. Such as they are. Many people love Seattle's location, on the water with mountains all around.
I'm glad you got a chance to see NYC, the best city in the world, I think.

So many places to go, so little time.

Thanks, Knighthawk. Great post, and I'm glad you had a good first visit to our great country. And I agree with Yehuda and McLynnan - your next visit should include Texas, land of Dubya !

Thanks for the ping !

knighthawk, thank you so much for visiting America and New York City in particular on our very first Patriot Day. The attack was here in our country, but it wasn't just America who was affected - all freedom loving, peaceful nations were attacked on 9/11.

Glad to see that you got back safe and sound. We enjoyed seeing you on Thursday...New Yorkers and the Dutch have a very long and good relationship!
And next time you're here, definitely include the southland in your itinerary: great people and very different from NYC.

I will let you know when I am in in the 'neigborhood'. Maybe even next summer (my brother and friends want to drive through the States, they wanted me to join themYou let me and other Texas FReepers know and we will roll out the red carpet for you. A driving trip sounds wonderful. There are wonderful things to see all across the U.S. Besides Texas, I'm partial to the Rockies -- spectacular scenery.

The Rockies I want to see. I got a photo-cd of it, and it sure looks great.

Thanks again, it was great meeting you too.

I've never seen the Alps in person, but pictures of them resemble the Rockies to me. Oh, I almost forgot -- you must see the Grand Canyon! Maybe you can give all of us a tour of your country too.

I have never seen the Alps, but it's said to be great.
When anyone comes to Holland, be sure to let me know.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit to the USA. It sounds like you had a great time! I'm also glad you were able to meet some FReepers.
I love NYC, and I hope the next time you come you will be able to visit Washington, D.C. It's a wonderful city, as well.
Thank you for sharing your visit with us.

DC is one place I will visit sooner or later. I want to see all the memorials and the White House.
