Caught it and responded with the e-type. Are there any massage therapists in your neck of the woods? Seriously, someone trained to really help releive some of the tensions and trouble that we try to carry around with us?
At the Nashville airport on our return from Lake Cumberland was set-up a station of six chair massage opportunities - I grabbed one and for thirty minutes was in heaven - the lady was a witch. So I'm a true fan of a well trained massage type person and how deep massage can benefit us as we deal with the daily FUBARS all around us.

Oh good grief. AbFab and Chelsea deserve each other. One of the characters in that program is always drunk and that pretty well describes Chels, as well. The three of them are like peas in a pod.
While I'm at it, please permit me to correct the misconception that Oxford is some kind of superschool for the superintelligent. Please! This is the school that was busted this year for selling admissions to the highest bidder. It's yawningly mediocre. If Chelsea really wanted an education, she could have gone to just about any state university in the U.S., but then, they'd probably expect her to go to class and stuff like that.

I must tell you how smart my son is, he won't be going to Oxford.
He just walked in the room with his guitar and his small amp. The amp is attached to his belt (this mini amp runs on batteries) with some sort of rigging he thought up.
He is THE traveling minstrel! :-) He's quite pleased with himself.

Now he's playing Mountain tunes... He's the next Leslie West! (minus the drugs)

You hippie chick you! Geez, a Guild thread doing Mountain riffs! Mississippi Queen just won't sound the same done by Iowa Granny in kareoke ;-)
Break out the Woodstock DVD! lol...can i tell you of my flashback to the Police Picnic in 1981? I've never been to a festival punk concert and they serve fruit salad ;-)

Ahem! Are you questioning my vocal abilities?
Speaking of Woodstock,, I recall being a very preggers young Farm Wife, when a female 'drifter' came to my door to ask to fill her canteen. I sat on the back porch steps and talked to her for a long while. She was on her way to Woodstock, and wanted me to trash it all and go along with her. Of course, I didn't go,, no interest in that stuff.
Your mention of Woodstock brought back a flood of memories and have helped me to appreciate how totally rational I was at a very early age. Thank you habs.
To: habs4ever
Sorry, I'm too young to remember Woodstock. :-) But because of my older brother I'm hip to all the good rock.
Fruit salad?! At a Police concert? Very weird. Did you see strange things after ingesting some?
I saw Led Zepplin when I was 13 years old, had to beg my dad and went with an older girl friend.
To: Iowa Granny
Nobody is questioning your vocal talents :-)... Leslie West, Mountain's lead singer has one of those scratchy male voices, I'll try and find a site with one of their songs. You'll see what I mean.
To: BigWaveBetty
Let me tell ya, BWD, it was weird to see this cornucopia of well know punk acts at a show with concessions stands selling fruit salad next to the tattoo parlour ;-)The place where thse shows went on is about 2 miles north of me and is now a well developed suburbs.21 yrs ago, it was a farmer's field with 30,000 kids.My aunt tells me of seeing the Beatles at the Montreal Forum in 1964 with her father...he went in a suit and his fedora ;-)

Granny, you were Whistler's wife before he had a wife!lol
To: habs4ever; Iowa Granny
I can't get any sites that I can link the music. Sorry.

I love Miss America pageant. Here's Miss Washington, Amanda Beers, 20, a classical pianist who's won some awards and has been church pianist for five years.

It's a shame that gran doesn't live in my neck of the woods, my husband's sis is a massage therapist, and she's wicked good. She has offices in two towns in western Pa, and travels on the NASCAR circuit doing massage on the weekends. She is now also doing therapy with long term care patients through the local hospital.
If you're serious about finding someone really good, go to The American Massage Therapy Association
They will have a listing of therapists that are members and meet their high standards.

Excellent news and thanks for the massage link - I've been trying to find a therapist for my father in a po-dunk little town without any success - hoping your link is the key to victory. ;-)
