Even though they have failed in the past

Did he ever? And supposedly now he isn't using advisors and speech writers, so given his knack for lying and then forgetting what he lied about and also forgetting who he was the last time he was remade, it could make for some very funny stuff. Of course, he's probably lying about that too.
