I have been a Deputy District AttorneyWow, Devil !! Where were you working? Did you give up Law Enforcement? I notice you are here day and night. This case must intrigue you. Even the LE say this is such an unusual case. You must agree then.
I will have to take more care is reading your replys. You not only are a judge of people's character, but you know the law from the inside. Impressive!! Thanks for telling us this !

Um...Neenah? Do I sense some sarcasm in your post?
It doesn't matter whether you believe it or not, but I have been a Deputy District Attorney, in two different jurisdictions. Sadly, this does not make me any more capable than most people of intelligence, to figure out what happened in this case--without more than media reports and endless armchair speculation. I'm not privy to any inside information in this case; wish I was.
But Neenah, if you will forgive my presumption, I do think it gives me some background to judge the potential of someone who had a 29-yr criminal record. Trust me, when you go into courtrooms over and over, and often see the same names on the docket, you lose all illusions about people who commit repeat offenses being "rehabilitated," and you continually marvel at how such people continue to actually have friends. But then you remember that some people are very generous-minded, and will be friends with anyone. I mean, Bill Clinton still has friends...
