Thanks. Maybe the removal had to do with copyright conflicts or something, b/c now that you told me what it was, I remember that it was well-received by all the posters, inoffensive, and helpful. Well, that leaves me to wonder about the other 3--I think another one of those was an off-the-cuff humorous remark by Jengaio about "water-drinking cults" or something. Clearly just a joke.

Oh, great, now I found another removed post, No. 89. Well, at least to me, there's another mystery afoot. I'm beginning to think these posts were removed by the poster! Gad, I hope not!

The site was clearly meant to be used as a reference by the public. I can't imagine there would be any copyright issues with placing a link. It was a sociology department project in which students in a sociology of religion class researched the material and prepared the web pages for public use.

By coincidence, a poorly timed remark. On that day, the Utah papers had an article about a 4 year old who was killed after being forced to drink a lot of water.
Someone probably thought the post was making fun of that, and complained.
I thought that too, for a second, until I realized who wrote the post, and that it was unlikely s/he knew about the news story.

??? I just did a search in the general interest section for any posts by jengaio and found none. All of her remarks have been removed and this I think could only have been done at her request. Jen, if you're reading this we need your input in this forum. Come back Shane, Come back!

I received this e-mail from jengaio
You can post as much of this info on the thread as you want.
Devil just asked why certain posts were deleted. They were mine.
Innocuous, I think. At least I'm stymied as to why they're pulled. Honestly.
I'm also banned and don't know why. I wrote to Jim Robinson asking for an explanation, but probably won't hear back for a while.
Anyone got any ideas???
