Monica memories don't slow down hiring

Even now, the man who made the word intern synonymous with Monica Lewinsky is scouting New York's top colleges for young talent to help out in his Harlem office.

According to Internet and E-mail ads by Barnard and New York University, the former President is seeking undergrad or graduate students with an interest in public service.

They've got to be bright, dependable, professional, able to follow policies and procedures with good judgment and have a certain enthusiasm and adaptability. No gender was specified.

Don't get the wrong idea. It's strictly business, said Clinton spokesman Jim Kennedy.

"We've had an internship program for more than a year. Each semester interns are brought on board. Most offices have internships," he said. "So what?" [snip] More.

You know, I don't think anything would suprize me anymore.

Although the young people are expected to work 20 to 40 hours a week for no pay, the jobs have already been snapped up.

Can't you just imagine this little girl going home for the weekend and saying "Hey, Daddy, I found a job!"?

We won't see it, but wouldn't it be interesting to know how many never show up because they're locked in their rooms. LOL!

Gore Says Bush Economic Policies Should Be Dumped

That's right Alyboy, keep talking about how bad the economy is while Alan Greenspan tells us how it looks pretty good, considering. He did smack congress and tell them to watch the spending. Then he explained to your stoopid dem buddies that the tax cut was a very good thing and don't mess with it. And while the rest of us thinking people are concerned about keeping our country safe, you idiots blather on about the economy.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former Vice President Al Gore on Saturday criticized President Bush's economic policies, saying they have squandered trillions of dollars of projected U.S. budget surpluses and ought to be "scrapped."

Speaking to a group of black members of the U.S. Congress, the remarks by Gore, who lost the 2000 presidential election to Bush, were part pep rally for Democratic candidates in the Nov. 5 congressional elections.

But his dual themes of Republican economic recklessness and disregard for the ailing Social Security ( news - web sites) retirement fund also may have been a preview of campaign stump speeches to come, if Gore decides to seek a rematch with Bush in 2004.
