In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

my lawn boys mow well.... right over geraniums and everything. I had to put guards around the bottoms of the trees to keep the boys from killing them.

well my landscaping is all on the other side of the walkways, now. Last year i had a climbing hyacinth bean vine that i was trying to get to grow around the lamp post. i had to post a sign on the pole saying POR FAVOR NO CORTA LA PLANTA.... did the trick.

My method has been to point and say "NO!" You should have seen what they were doing to my poor elephant ear plant.... they were going to kill it, removing more and more leaves each week.

They are dying to get into my backyard, and are convinced that I am keeping them from something really good.... they don't know that there's nothing but dirt back there right now.
