but it tends to--by giving a plausible (IMO) explanation, other than involvement in Elizabeth's disappearance, for his stonewalling on the jeep issue. Let's carry your scenario another step forward in time Devlish. Now that Richard is dead then I guess we will soon hear from lawyer Smith as to what really happened. After all, Angela is really broken hearted about the situation with the Smarts and now that the drug lords can no longer hurt her late husband then I'm sure she'll waive her husbands lawyer client privilege. Then LE can start looking for the real perp just like OJ is searching the golf courses for Nicoles murderer.

"we will soon hear from lawyer Smith" Sadly, no we won't! (Were you saying that sarcastically, Sandude?) Attorney-client privilege will continue posthumously unless waived by Angela. She isn't about to snitch on Ricci's dealer, either! Very dangerous!
"Angela is really broken-hearted" Now I know you're being sarcastic!
An OJ-style search for the perp? Yes, I could see Angela doing that...
