"I believe quite strongly Ricci was involved."
He could have been involved, but I don't think he had his white jeep to use to do the crime. Maybe someone else had a blue SUV?
I'm not accusing anyone!! You speak of info from outside of media accounts. I have absolutely no info except what I hear from the media. I am 100% speculating here. Do you believe that Ricci had some person, anyone, from whom he would sometimes purchase heroin? It could be, and probably is, someone none of us have ever heard of.

For someone who's never known any junkies, "as far as I know" (you said), you sure act like you're on some sort of mind-altering medication!

"Sherlock doesn't have a clue about accurate American history."
How can anyone have a clue, after revisionists have rewritten everything and turned the truth on its head, for the sake of making citizens easier to divide and dominate?

Thank you, Cookie. Nowhere (that I know of) has it been said that Angela's addicted to Soma. But her next-door neighbor maintained that he had seen her looking like a zombie ("Somatose," he said) more than once while she was on the Soma. Neighbor also said he'd seen her fall face-forward into a plate of food after taking Soma.
Varina insists that this neighbor is unworthy of belief. I say the neighbor is too dumb to make all that up on the spur of the moment, with hot TV lights blazing in his face. It is a fact that the neighbor knows Angela personally. We don't.
Angela was reportedly once convicted of forging or uttering false checks. Seems someone wouldn't resort to a felony unless they were desperate for money--like an addict. Of course, that was years ago. But that sort of behavior is certainly common with addicts.

OHHHHHHHH.......
Well, you're right. I'm hopelessly citified. Because the only version of that song I'd heard was the Tom Jones version, which was cut, I think, during Vietnam. Have you heard it? I had always thought it described a serviceman coming home in a coffin. Duh...
So, what's that?? Loretta Lynn's your mother?? Well, I'll be...!

He seems to gain sainthood by virtue of being accused. No, by not being charged.

I was assuming the same of you, until I read that you actually assumed someone, anyone, could be "jealous" of this poor, misguided, self-destructive couple. You and sherlock must have very unhappy lives being bereft of any sense of humor.

1. Regarding the theft of jewelry and other items from the Smart's home -- I was under the impression that LE found those stolen items in Ricci's trailer. If that's the case, then he didn't steal them to sell for drug money. 2. Angela's "addiction" to Soma -- Where has it been stated that she is/was addicted? If she has serious back pain, taking Soma when she needs it certainly doesn't equal an addiction.
Thank you, ChocChipCookie.

Or does he just have the 'gift of suspicion' like you accusing that Mormon bishop?I haven't "accused" him. As usual, your sweeping statements are way off in left field.

Do you think prison inmates give each other the same presumption of innocence they expect from law-abiding citizens?Maybe more so -- judging by some of the comments on this thread.

Ricci did not originally tow that jeep in on May 30, he towed it in or had it towed in before May 30.
I don't know where you get this idea. Everything I have read is the Jeep was towed in on May 30, the electronic fuel pump was repaired, Mrs. Ricci called and confirmed it was drivable and told Moul her husband needed it and would be picking it up, and I read in one place early in the case where Moul said Ricci came in and told him he needed it for some emergency. I also read yesterday where Moul said Ricci asked him for the keys to the Jeep when he picked it up and there was indication Ricci signed for it. Moul said there was other work that was to be done on the Jeep other than the electronic fuel pump but it was picked up before the rest of the work was performed.
...does that mean he loaned his jeep to someone else?
I wasn't trying to imply he loaned the Jeep to someone else, just to show the tie in to a former M.O. of playing a shell game with custody of the Jeep, in this case him parking it away from his residence and later claiming it was in the repair shop all the time.
I think they TOOK it from him b/c he hadn't paid his drug tab.
I discount this theory. First it's completely you're personal speculation, there's no basis for it in the facts of the case. I think Ricci was involved and provided the key and information on the general layout of the house and the location of Liz' bedroom. I think it was Ricci that met the kidnapper in the hospital parking lot and made the transfer of the key.

I would feel very safe guaranteeing that sherlock doesn't have a clue about accurate American history.
You have certainly proven here you have no semblence of a logical perspective to understand anything based in reality. Your total perspective is to rudely try to demonstrate you have some higher knowledge in spite of reality that is staring you in the face. This behavior is so hightly ingrained in you it probably reflects something you continually put your parents through growing up and I greatly feel sorry for them.

RICCI: I did not at the time in question. I got in a severe car accident about 18 months ago. I was given the proper medication to take on an as-needed basis, and
I've just been trying to recover from that.
Comment - Sounds to me like she was addicted. I would bet big 'as-needed' was in actuality 'every night'. And I be she's 'trying to recover' because her doctor is scrambling to get her off them because of his liability of having her on this narcotic for a year and a half.

Varina insists that this neighbor is unworthy of belief.
What could speak more highly of him? Everyone knows if it's tall varina says it's short. If it's hot varina says it's cold. varina is consistant, she is going to argue against anything and everything that is obviously true.
To: Sherlock
something you continually put your parents through growing up and I greatly feel sorry for them.Don't waste your pity. They were extremely proud of me, and would be prouder today, if they were still alive. Why don't you go teach a Sunday school class or something, since you claim to possess so much moral superiority.

I think I conceded once to Palladin (?) that maybe, an outside, remote possibility that Elizabeth might have been captured by polygamists. And there is that possibility, but highly unlikely. Like I have said many times, polygamists tend to grow their own wives by taking daughters of other polygamists, etc at very young ages (early teens.) And the polygamists tend to stay out of the public eye (with the exception of Tom Green); and do not like scrutiny. Heck of a lot of scrutiny if they stole a daughter like that. It just doesn't fit their MO.

I used to work in a pharmacy, it was astounding to see people who would abuse prescription drugs, who would never think of buying any street drugs. "My dr prescribed it for me, therefore it is OK" was a common comment. And then I would have customers who would worry over the 10 Percocet pills their dentist gave them after a difficult procedure, worried that they would get addicted. I've done a fair amount of study in this area of addiction. There are many components to addiction, we would tell people that addiction to most narcotics would take place over a period of time, taking the drugs daily and upping the dosage to get that first initial "rush", which sometimes graduated to doctor shopping, forgeries, etc. I don't wish to get into a legalize all drugs vs don't legalize all drugs, but I have see the human cost drugs and alcohol take upon individuals and their families. And it is tragic.
To: varina davis
I read that the reason that he gave Richard up was because he was disgusted that Richard would abduct a teenage girl. It really ticked Remington off.
This would make sense in light of the fact he told police Ricci was the gunman in his burglary and either Remington or one of the other ex-cons told police Ricci had talked to them about burglarizing the Smart home and the easy pickins' there for him.
