oh there are definitely bears in VA. xshub saw bears on the golf course at the Greenbrier, right over the line from VA in WV. Question is, do they venture into urban areas.

It covers more of Michigan than the map shows. There was one in Mt Pleasant(Central Mich) a couple of years back.

I saw them up north. They are becoming more common again.

We have a little bit of a mountain lion problem up here. They shot one in town up a tree next to a daycare about a month back.

Michigan had a couple of cougar sightings recently. I didn't think they were that far east. The UP has moose and wolves, but I don't think they were found south of Mackinac.

Ibelieve they also are found in certain Virginia Campsites...like Oakton Va.
