I have to say, I think it's ridiculous that they are taking this long to decide the penalty.
Perhaps there are some serious disagreements between hardline DP supporters and others who prefer LW/OP because of Boyce's arguements about "lingering doubt"
I really can't understand why it's taking so long to come to a decision, I guess because I see either option as acceptable, since the DP is really LW/OP with endless appeals and special facilities.

Hey, did you hear what the jury foreman said wrt:those 2 boys in florida? The foreman said the jury was very confused....and had a terrible time understanding how they were suppose to arrive at their decision. (*I think* that's the gist of it)If I find an article about it, I will ping you. I hope this jury has no confusion.

I can't find quotes from the interview I saw on tv the past day or two.
http://www.courttv.com/trials/king/090802_ap.html
forewoman Lynn Schwarz
Schwarz said the jurors thought the boys' recorded confessions were forced, rehearsed and unbelievable. Schwarz said the King jurors were aghast when they heard Chavis had been acquitted. "I was so shocked, I just couldn't believe it," said Schwarz, 52. She said the other jury "saw a different presentation and a different interpretation. It's too bad they couldn't have all been tried together. That might have been a fairer trial."
