Well, the rain stopped, but it sure rained hard for the 10 minutes or so that it was raining....its always surprising to me, how quickly the lawns come back after just a few hard rains...

But the thunder is still going on, so maybe more rain is on the way...this sure is odd weather down here...thunder, two days in a row, is really odd...

Hi Westy, thanks for posting the article. My father served in the Navy in WWII. We were brought up to respect the military. We owe our freedom in this country to the military, and I am grateful to them.

Everything I've ever seen on the History Channel regarding the B-17 underscored the dangers associated with the plane and the bravery of the men who served in them.

At work I have a Successories-type poster showing a B-17 flying in the foreground with a F-16 flying in the background. It is captioned: "Youth and Skill are no Match for Old Age and Treachery."
