Mel Gibson's We Were Soldiers is good. I have some minor critisms of it, but it presents a positive view of some of our military at that time. It's based on a true story. Moore became a lieutinant general. The part played by Sam Eliot as the Sergeant Major was brilliant.

"We Were Soldiers is good"
I don't know. They made the NVA try to seem a bit too noble.
What folks didn't realize (the peace trash), was that the North didn't want union with the South. They wanted to exterminate them.
Guess that's why, when we pulled out, the North didn't just conquer the South. They punished them.
Joan Baez & co then were saying we needed to get back over there to help the South.
Like any president in his right mind would do that.
Morons.
(Quick: what movie's this out of?) "Did I say you were stupid? I meant to say, 'You're a total freakin' retard!'"
