Not that I know of while he was married to her but he was seeing her, when the November 2001 bank robbery took place. I think they knew each other for about 1 year before they got married. I think she said that on LKL. So it is likely she may have even known him when he worked for the Smart family.

Angela did know Rick while he worked for the Smart family, if her account is to be believed. She said Rick used to speak of the Smarts and the work he was doing for them, but of Ed primarily, and that he spoke of his respect for Ed.

So just meeting her didn't change him for the better, and make him quit breaking the law, why should we believe he became a changed man after marrying her?
