Salazar said the attacker slipped into the home through an unlocked side door and first went into the bedroom of the girl's 10-year-old brother and asked the boy where his father slept. The boy pretended not to hear and went into his sister's room to sleep after the man left. The man returned a half hour later and took the girl from her room as her brother slept, Salazar said. The children's father and grandparents also were sleeping in the home at the time.
Seems to me this guy was pretty darn good at sneaking around in homes after everyone was asleep, too. Can't imagine why no one considers Javier Sickler as the possible alleged kidnapper.

His modus operandi is different. LE said they were going to check out any possible connection, but they didn't think the cases were related. I read it in the newspaper. I don't have the time or the inclination to find the source -- either Desert or Trib, though, in an article which appeared shortly after that monster nearly killed the girl.
