Possibly. But the notion popped into my head that Thurber's testimony might be in question.

Every possibility should be considered, scaredkat.

I would imagine he was over there and saw her take them or saw the effects on her or she told him."I would imagine".....now that's really stating facts.

In my state, lawyers are not allowed in the grand jury room. They may wait outside the room, and consult with their client there. Thanks for the information. It was an assumption on my part so maybe Smith wasn't in there with her. I believe that he still would have advised her to invoke her rights though.

I believe that he still would have advised her to invoke her rights though. He certainly would if he's a reputable lawyer.

scaredkat, though, is very interesting.Yes, and remarkably candid -- no fear of flames.

Maybe the address you found on athand.com is his office address. I'm going to athand in a minute. However, it's not like I'll recognize the street by name, I'll have to look at a map. (Mapquest to the rescue, of course.) I've never been to SLC.
I have this vague memory of looking the doctor up when I first heard of him in the news. I sort of got it mixed up with when I looked up the air conditioner guy (Corey Dennis) a long time ago. (Corey Dennis--gave a story about this case, and his AC work in the Smart home, to a tabloid.)

"-- no fear of flames." LOL! Thank God! 'cause this isn't the place to be if you're on the touchy side.

Well how do you think he knew, varina, do you think he told this as fact just because he has the 'gift of suspicion' like you do with that Mormon bishop??? He's may not look very bright but I'm sure he's not a complete moron like you.
To: Sherlock
Well how do you think he knew, varinaI don't think he "knew" anything for sure. Just out of curiosity, why do you always feel the need to use name-calling in your posts and replies?
To: varina davis
Sherl has no other way to vent when he/she's in a corner.

No court date has been set. Dixon was arrested, $100,000 bail, he paid it and was released.

Does Dixon own a white truck?

"It will be interesting to see if Angela is recalled by the grand jury, now that Rick has died."
You said it!
Wait a minute. If you have time, you ought to go to google and check this out--there is stuff there on Utah marital privilege. (Unfortunately, at the moment I am too much of a dolt to be able to post cites, but I'm going to try to learn.)
Any way, I found this on google, about Utah:
"See...Rule 28(1), Utah Rules of Evidence (1971)--The Committee intends that, during the life of the communicating spouse, the non-communicating spouse may claim the privilege on behalf of the communicating spouse if the latter is alive but not present to assert it. UPON THE DEATH OF THE COMMUNICATING SPOUSE, THE PRIVILEGE CEASES TO EXIST." (Caps are mine, I have been too lazy to learn how to do bold print, but intend to learn.) I don't know how current the above is, but it looks to me like Angela can't claim the privilege any more.
So if the grand jury calls her back, seems to me we can conclude that she claimed the marital privilege, at least to some extent, in her previous appearances.
BTW, that 502 thing I posted earlier appears to be from the Uniform Rules of Evidence.

I don't know, the two articles did not mention his choice of cars.
