Thurber was originally described as a longtime personal friend of one of the Riccis. It turned out to be Angela, they have been friends since before she met Rick. Hardly one with an ax to grind against the Riccis. He liked Rick, considered him to be his buddy. He thinks Ricci was involved in the kidnapping. It is also possible that the perp parked on Tomahawk near the dead end. The same down the hill, up the hill scenario to and from the Smart home would apply. The reason I tend to discount that is that the perps vehicle would be visible on the street (Tomahawk or Kristianna) for 30 minutes minimum and maybe as much as several hours if he was waiting for the lights to go out, etc. The area I identified would not be visible to anyone in the dark.

Your theory would also explain why she would need the shoes.

One other thing on Shriners. They got good shots of the 1st car. It was interesting how they got the 2nd car. The cars went out of the parking lot on Fairfax and apparently you can't take a left, you have to take a right going west and go up to the dead end and do a U turn. The camera was trained so that it covered Fairfax and they got the 2nd car when it came back by after the U turn.

I was wondering because of what you had said. I just got back from being up there and I really felt he could have been parked down the street a bit because they are not done building and there are still empty lots. One is right next door to the smarts. Also it is my belief that he drove down virginia ave then turned east on arlington, arlington street will come out by a golf course and the University hospital from there its a hop skip to pioneer canyon or 215 belt route.

Sure, Angela may have info on the case which she did not receive from Ricci during a private conversation with him. In that case, she would have had to answer questions about it, as long as she didn't take the 5th. She could have also lied -- people do that in court, despite their oaths.

What is said to a grand jury is secret, so anyone is free to tell the truth to the grand jury, and lie to the public -- and the public would be none the wiser.

The rule of evidence you referred to has likely been interpreted by the courts, so without reading the case law, I don't know how Ricci's death may change the operation of the privilege.

Angela could claim the privilege on Ricci's behalf during his lifetime, but the rule does not clarify what happens when the communicating spouse dies. That is the sort of thing courts have decide -- unless it is stated further on in the rule.

I think the 'scent in the mountains' article was the article where some search dogs picked up the scent of a human down near Draper. It was late at night, the area was cordoned off, and early the next morning, the dogs were brought back. No scent sighting at that point in time, and the area was searched thoroughly.

psitech was in a certain erea looking here in utah. (If you read their article. Today I found out where they were, I parked right where the picture shows dave smart standing by a fence with a fenced area going into a hill. This is across the street from Hogle Zoo and to the east of This is the place monument. THESE PSITECH ARE UP IN THE NIGHT IF THEY THINK SHES IN THERE, NO WAY, NO HOW, WOULD SHE BE THERE. (youd have to see it to know what Im talking about) The other thing, all of there sketchs they have drawn DO NOT go with that area either. I dont know if it was a ploy to get the media in one place while they work at another and Im not sure if they are still here. Ill tell you this, if I run into those psitech people Im going to take them to the place I think she is because there sketchs look like this area Ive been searching sinse June 9th and I STILL FEEL THATS WHERE SHE IS.

I know some of you feel I should tell the smarts, police, whoever, here is my list of why I wont at this time.

Police/FBI - 1- they didnt and still wont listen, I need physical evidence before they will go up there again. (up there again! the only thing they did was ruin what I thought could be evidence), okay, at the time they didnt have a mans shoe to compare but if they would have taken riccis shoe print they could have at least found out if he had been there or not. If he had been, that would raise alot of questions, dont you think? 2- I believe the police are everywhere even here on this forum which is okay but what if a police officer did it, Did you ever think of this? I did! He would have the perfect alibi because he could say he was working in the area, and then he also could be working on the case with the smarts.

Smarts----I really and truely believe that one of the smarts could totally be involved. Did you ever think about incest or family member raping her and elizabeth was pregnant? (it happens no matter what religion your in), I did again! Knowing me Id probably pick the wrong person to say, Hey what do you think of this? I really feel this way now knowing full well they have a cabin up there. Not many people know about this mine, I didnt until I walk right up to it on June 9th, but if the smarts have a cabin up their and those boys (Elizabeths uncles) grew up playing up there and exploring as boys do, you can bet they knew about this mine and were the air shafts are.

Im also wondering about a serial killer on the loose, we are missing several teenage girls these past few years and what if by chance they were all thrown in this mine via the air shaft. This is what scares me the most because we dont know who he is, and I really think noone is on to him yet.

You might think I have too many scenarios but I think Three men are involved. (Get out of your nine dots and think about what Im saying it makes some sense.)

We can always use her statements of what she said on the latest LKL interview as a criteria of what she might have said at the Grand Jury, if she testified at all, that is.

I agree with cookiedough here. I believe Angela's lawyer would have been allowed in the room with her and he would have advised her to stonewall the proceedings by invoking her privileges. The idea that she may be called again now that Richard is dead is intriguing. Are there are any other lawyers out there who can shed some light on this?

In my state, lawyers are not allowed in the grand jury room. They may wait outside the room, and consult with their client there.
