The U on the mountain? Stands for the University of Utah. If you go down south to Provo, where I live, there is a big Y on the mountain, which stands for BYU.

Ooops, I might be wrong. Brighton ski resort is about 9800 south, so the address must be a cabin or a residence. I know several people who live up in the canyons. I'm trying to find a map right now to show you just how close the ski resorts are...

Obviously if the allegations about him are true, he fits the profile of a child sexual predator. I think Pete Romero has more damning stuff against him on that score--he's actually been convicted.

I sent you a private frmail... what I need is help in trying to get mapquest to accept the address, you are on the right track or frame of mind about the addy. I know where the resort is, I want to find the exact location of the addy and I am not sure how to mapquest to accept it.

I don't know if you have been helped yet but if you go to mapquest and put in Alta, Utah you will see the area that would be close to where you are talking about. Just north of the star for Alta would be your area anyway.

You don't mean you swallowed that blatant frame-up of Ricci, in which the police hurriedly changed it to a tan golf cap just because they found a tan golf cap in Ricci's father-in-law's home?

Ricci was first interviewed on Jun 6 then again on Jun 11. He was taken into custody on Jun 14, about the time the story was changed from a white baseball hat to a tan driving hat. I figure in their investigation of Ricci police asked neighbors, fellow employees, etc. if he wore a hat and they were told Ricci wore a tan racing hat. When they felt sure Ricci was involved, probably from Moul's testimony, I think they changed the description of the hat to a hat Ricci was known to wear to make the kidnapper relax and think they weren't onto him. However there have been so many sightings of this guy in his white baseball hat (i.e. the sketch released by the Smarts last week) I'm convinced the kidnapper indeed wore a white baseball hat.

Spencer Dixon of Salt Lake City is also listed as a runner in the 2001 Marathon in St. George, Utah.

Wasn't Elizabeth an avid runner and hoped to be on the track team? Didn't she run and jog quite a lot in the area where she lived?

I think Elizabeth had decided to run only recently (before she was abducted.) I can remember a friend saying that she was really excited to take on this new aspect in her life, it was so different than what Elizabeth was used to doing (playing the harp.) Elizabeth had just picked up the instructions for the summer so that she could join the track team at East High. She had been out running twice when she was abducted. I'll find the article for you...I remember this because Elizabeth took Mary Katherine with her both times, and the police drove Mary Katherine around the route they jogged together...

That's probably correct, Utah Girl, but it is possible she could have met someone, or someone might have seen her during one of those runs with MK.

She and her sister might have just spoke casually to someone, without even thinking the person might be a stalker. And, if they exchanged "hello's," for instance, that might be why MK recognized a voice. Just a theory, but it does seem rather plausible.

One, it could provide one non-Elizabeth-related reason why Ricci clammed up completely about the whereabouts of his jeep--maybe he'd lent it to a girlfriend, or a friend of a girlfriend. Just speculation of course.

Why wouldn't he tell LE something like this? They would have checked the story out and cleared him of suspicion. Don't you think that the person he lent the Jeep to would have come forward as well? They had Richard in an isolated area of the prison for his own protection. He was eating sack lunches twice a day. All they wanted was for him to clear up the matter of the Jeep. They would have cleared him and the cloud of suspicion removed if he could have done that. He couldn't though because then they would have wanted to know who the man was with the blue van that picked him up and what the two of them had been up to on the 8th of June. Giving LE that information would have only led to more problems for Richard and the other conspirators.

Don't you think it's probably the Spencer Dixon from La Verkin (just outside of St. George)? Or did you conveniently overlook him since he doesn't fit in with your dream of dumping this on the Mormon Church.
