ES missing since 6-5-2002 and will have been missing for 3 months in a few hours, so I thought that this would be an approriate time to start a new thread.
What alternate reality did you beam in from today Palladin?
That presupposes that the alarm was connected to an alarm company, which isn't likely since the Smarts didn't even bother to set it. More importantly, Ricci knew the Smarts lifestyle and habits from working in their home for two or three months. All he would have to do is show up a couple of times early and try the door. If he set off the alarm, he would just say Oooppps!
Are you sure Angela's brother didn't grab his fathers hat from above the sink on his way out of the trailer that night?
My point was that there are probably child molesters who live closer than 5 miles to the Smarts. I hope that LE fully checks this guy out. If there is a connection discovered then we will all be able to discuss it.

There is a marked resemblance. Maybe LE had their collective eye on this dude all along (with others) and his recent assault on the girl clinched it.
Also, wonder if it's possible a witness saw someone who resembled Edmunds, and thus the chase. But in reality is was this guy from a nearby neighborhood.
Who knows? Dixon could easily be in the Smart social or business circle.

Why wait? Everyone has discussed Ricci without a shred of actual connecting evidence.

A question that has never been asked and should be, is "Could Ricci have pulled this off by himself?". The answer is yes. We know that he normally acted alone for his occupied home burglaries. We know that one of his robberies/burglaries was a year to the day before the ES abduction. When was Angela's birthday? What is the anniversary date of when they met? The dear, sweet, sensitive Ricci saw the need to filch something a year earlier and saw the need the following year on the same date. If we know what was significant about that date, we would know Ricci's motive. I'm sure LE knows the answer to that question.
How would you suggest one prepares? The truth is the truth. You can smash it, stomp it underground -- but it's still the truth.

"Certainly we're closer to solving this case than we were when it began. We've done a lot of work on this," Dinse said. "We think we are eventually going to solve this." Dinse added investigators are still sifting through many leads -- and other potential suspects.
"We still have people we are looking at, some of them -- if not all of them -- are still centered around Ricci," Dinse said. "There are plenty of leads surrounding him that we are going through."
If this is true, BTW, then MK would have recognized his voice -- and maybe more.
Maybe it possible Ed Smart thinks his former buddy Ricci was in cahoots with the bishop somehow (after MK identified the voice), since Ed said this week he does not believe Ricci was in his home the night of the disappearance.
No known solid evidence but plenty of circumstantial evidence. Have you got any of that on the former Bishop?

Where do you think the Jeep was? It was definetly out of sight.
Where do you think Elizabeth was held or her body hidden? Both Thurber and Angela stated he was home early on the morning of the crime.
Why wouldn't Richard identify the man in the blue van? Because there is a good chance Elizabeth's body was in the back of that van on the evening of June 8th.
First, admit that it is possible that Richard Ricci could have been involved in this crime. Can you admit this is a possiblity?
