Where did Christopher learn that public school was better than homeschool? How would he know?

funny you should ask... that's the first thing my husband asked when i told him the story... maybe he said it because he's competitive, and was, in his own mind, competing with my son... or maybe his mother said something... she was a public school teacher up until a few years ago, but i don't think she would say something like that... in fact, she was considering homeschooling Christopher at least for kindergarten if he did not get into the school he did... his school is in a better and newer neighborhood than his own neighborhood school... they did an interdistrict transfer so she wouldn't have to send him to there... she had attempted to get him into the Catholic school she attended; however, space is very limited, and she was not involved enough w/the church that they took a pass on him... i guess it's possible she said something... or it could have been something like, "oh, good--you get to go to "scooby doo school" (whatever it's named), that's better than homeschooling." (meaning it's better for her.)
