Well said, except I think you have to first accept the pardon purchased by Jesus Christ on the cross. I don't think some kind of infant baptism does that. I don't think you can join the true church, I think you can only be born into it (born again) like any other family.
Is the ES case partly a Mormon vs Catholic thing with Ricci being a Catholic?

She sure does.
OK. I'm still wondering, why Magna? There is a Roman Catholic Church in Kearns where Richard Ricci lived, many in SLC and indeed, throughout Utah.
Why Magna???
Very true Varina. You can bet it wasn't checked daily.
Coverup.
Angela Ricci is very well spoken. Obviously a well educated woman, in spite of a reportedly rough background. At the age of Richard and Angela Ricci, it's hard to believe he/they would have risked an abduction and all it entailed. I just don't believe it.
Ricci wasn't involved...

Reacts to Husband Richard's Death
Sep 2, 2002 3:49 pm US/Mountain
"We're soul mates, we met one and a half years ago. He's very kind and patient, very understanding. His sense of humor was heartwarming. His laughter was uplifting and he gave kindness unconditionally."
This is the Richard Ricci his wife Angela knows. Not a child kidnapper, but a loving and devoted husband
In letters sent from prison, Richard Ricci wrote of his love to his wife saying, "you were a miracle to me, a love like ours happens once in a lifetime."
The last time they spoke was July 7th and now Angela calls her answering machine just to hear his voice.
"This is Rick, Angela and Trevor, if you'd like to leave a message, do cause we're not here and we'll get back to you, thanks."
"That's been one of the hardest things is to not being able to hear his voice," says Angela.
From the time Richard was targeted by police for the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping, Angela stood by her husband.
"He's heartbroken for the Smart family because they were looking in the wrong place and I know that tore him up inside."
Despite claims Ricci borrowed his jeep while it was in a shop for repairs, and drove it hundreds of miles, Angela says that wasn't possible because his timecard shows he was at work. When he would get off work, he was home a half an hour afterwards. There was no time for him to be missing, ever.
Angela Ricci says she got to see her husband one last time before he went into surgery for what turned out to be a fatal brain hemorrhage.
"And I kissed his big toe because I couldn't get to his face."
For three days she stayed with Richard at his bedside. After learning from doctors that Richard would never recover, Angela was prompted to take him off life support.
Because I love Rick and I respect Rick it was just right, it was just right and I'm at peace with that," says Angela.

Palladin, I'm not questioning his religion, just the coincidence of the funeral being in Magna, the home of Javier Sickler, when Ricci lived in Kearns.
Here is the central motivation in the scenario from the post you referenced. (#301)
Maybe his pusher, or someone up the ladder, had a thing for young girls, especially virgins. They talk about this and about Elizabeth and decide to grab her for some fun.
Did you actually read it the first time?
Angela Ricci says she got to see her husband one last time before he went into surgery for what turned out to be a fatal brain hemorrhage.
I believe her. Implicitly. Whoever is hiding the truth has a lot to answer for.
