Regarding Steele and specific complaints, number 1 - he can't coach. Witness his 0-24 performance in the Big XII. That's why he's called Coach Bagel.
Last week we got blown out by Cal 70 - 22. Yes, that's right, Cal scored 70 points! They were 1-10 last year. They will show better this year, but 70 points?
When Steele got to Baylor he said, "I'm a 1 quarterback coach." This delighted the crowd because we had rotated 2 QB's for 2 years. Last year he used 5 different QB's. Sometimes a guy would drive the team and the next series he's sit.
When Steele got to Baylor he said, "We're doing this the right way, building through high school committments." The last 2 years, he's grabbed every Juco (with talent) that he could.
His OC quit in the middle of the off season last April.
Opposing players comment (after beating us like a drum), "Coach told us what they would do and we just waited for it."
People in the stands guess at what play will be run next - with frightening accuracy. These aren't other coaches, just fans.
Our best game was at College Station last year, where with the game 20 to 16 with 35 seconds left, he ran the same 35 yard pass play to the left corner of the end zone with only 1 receiver there - twice in a row!!! Another Big XII loss.
Opposing coaches speak highly of him because they know he's a guaranteed win. Right now, we are a bye week for any Big XII team.
Think I'm bitter? You should talk to some guys who played for us in the past!
That was when I first joined, in 1998. I've been practicing for over 2 years now.

You make a pretty good case. Since I don't see many Baylor games, I'll bring your points up for discussion with someone else who does.
Now for the toughie: who would you recommend Baylor hire?
