Good afternoon all...I have had to make a brief trip to the doc...seems my galloping sh!ts just got worse, and then I started vomitting, and running a fever....got some sort of bug or another....so have meds to settle the tummy and something for running off at the other end...hopefully, some good bedrest, fluids and meds will have me back up and running by the Labor Day festivities we had planned...
BigDom is just fine, tho I am keeping a rather safe distance from him, not wanting him to catch whatever I might have....if there is one thing in this world I absolutely hate, it is being sick...hate to admit being sick, hate to see the doc, hate to take meds, just prefer to think that I am still 25, and invulnerable to everything...but the body is telling me different....
So if I am online, or for how long, will just be determined by how I am feeling...right now I am feeling just so-so....but at least I am not living in the bathroom...meds seem to be kicking in...
The weather here today, is still glorious, sunny, warmish, and still with the autumn snap in the air...
Andy has gone up to British Columbia, for the Labor Day extended weekend...he left yesterday afternoon, and will be returning Tuesday night...one of his friends has a cabin up there, so a group of them are going up there and celebrating Labor Day in Canada...
Habs...this leads me to a question....is there a Labor Day up in Canada? and if so, is it this weekend or some other weekend? Certain holiday, such as Christmas and Easter are celebrated around the world...but other holidays, such as Thanksgiving and the 4th of July, are American Holidays...I know that Labor Day is not celebrated around the world, but I was curious about Canada....and you would have the expertise in this area....
Loddy is gone for the holiday, Palo and Westy have seemed to have gone into exile, I am ill, Ac and Neets are still in fresh grief over their dear animal family members having passed on the Rainbow Bridge....ah, it seems we are in upheaval....trying not to be on a downer, here, just recognizing that there are ups and downs to real life, and life online as well...
Just glad that we have each other to commiserate with, when we need it...for we are truly an online little circle of friends and family...

Get well soon Mom.. It's awful to be sick like that.. I hope the meds work and you're all better for the weekend..

I had something like that about 11 yrs ago, and it was a food virus, a bacteria called camplo bacter. It required heavy duty meds to kill, and also a notification to the Health Dept.Think of any place recently you've eaten from that wasn't spic and span, or any foods that may have come from Mexico or South America.
