On the matter of your ear...are you having pain, or is it vertigo that is the main problem...I have benign positional vertigo, diagnosed about 4yrs ago...I thought I really had a brain tumor because the vertigo was so very bad, causing me to lose balance and vomit at the most peculiar times...I had to see a neurologist, who ran a battery of tests, including the CATSCAN, and all tests showed that there was nothing at all wrong with my ears, or my brain....since they could find nothing wrong, it came down to a diagnosis, based on elimination of everything else..

This vertigo was very bad when first diagnosed, and they gave me meds, which do not prevent an attack of primary vertigo, but rather the med is taken after an attack, as it will then prevent further attacks in near proximity to the first...

The neurologist said, they have no idea why this vertigo occurs with certain people, its just these little pads on the ear, which are responsible for balance, and sometimes they dont work right...It often disappeas as quickly as it came on...that, was in my case, true...in the beginning, I had constant vertigo and vomiting, but now I rarely get it, just once in a while...
