They replayed an old interview with Weaver on O'Reilly tonight, and he was explaineg why he was a suspect in their disappearance, and he understood why and was fine and cooperating and thought Ashley had run away to get away from her horrible home and Mom - but felt bed for Miranda's Mom who really wanted her girl back and hoped she would return. He had the reporter convinced -- probably the cops, too. He admitted his dad was in prison (he said for 6 murders, but the reports say he was only charged with 2 murders). It was so spooky watching that from then, knowing what we know now.
These slick liars have something in common, they say too much. When asked directly if he had anything to do with the girls' disappearance, he answered "No," right away and was convincing - but then he kept on and said he had nothing to do in any way with their disappearances or anything else that happened and he knows nothing about it.... he said too much. He was enjoying making new friends with reporters (probably the cops, too.)
