hay .38...how is the house coming? Are you all settled in and sorted out????when we gonna see pictures?

Bring you up to date on the happenings...well last time we talked I lost my little Nacho. then 2 weeks later ( last week) I found out that my little Missie which I took in because she demonstrated symptoms of a UTI, is hyperthroid so next week she goes back for a F/U check..hope the UA and bloods all come out ok. I worry about kidney problems as sometimes hyperthyroid can hide that..that is all I'd need.
And today, my neighbor had to put her kitty, Killer to sleep. Killer and Missie were an item for 13 years..they practiced safe sex...windowsill romance with a glass between them..they would just look and gaze at each other...
The other kitties are doing ok thank goodness. My bank book needs a break.
and we had 2 of the Great One's grandson's out for a week. Ozzie took them to Yosemite on a 3 day camping trip. they were so much fun to have here. And they werehelpful too. They are 12 and 13...really good boys.

Ozzie had his hand operated on and got the stitches out today. Had triger finger..genetic not overuse he was told by the doctor. Now he needs to cut the grass..you should see it..nearly up to the middle of the knee....not really but it is thick and that will be a tough cut....

that's why dems want all young people online as soon as possible, so they will be caught in that trap, too, and not bother to break free from the other liberal mainstream news trap.

They just assumed all the kids would go to DU, the ACLU website and Amnesty International websites. Some kids might actually get curious and rebel against socialism!

LOL .. The hubby's work gave everyone new laptops to use instead of desk tops .. well he's in the other room working and I just realized he is using the main LOCAL phone line and we are gonna have one heck of a phone bill this month ... geeeeeeeeeeeeez

I guess will be running a line from the other phone to upstairs this this weekend

Wish you all could see Spike..he is a lovely gray tabby with even features, gold eyes and no battle scars cuz he wins...but he also minds me. tonite I was about to let YumYum out do do his "duty" and Spike and Quigley were about to go at in hammer and tong. Well I don't want Spike to get sick as Quigley does not look good...so I go out and stand beside the two of them and they don't know what kind of cat I am...I look at spike and tell him firmly 'NO" and he just looks and then acts like he is going to scrap and I tell him NO again and he listens meanwhilde Quigley starts to move away..and Spike looks like he wants to pounce anyway. And I tell him,,,,you mind me this minute! now be a good boy and get on the walll...he does.. and he leaves the other kitty alone altogether...comes to me to get hugs..would rather have hugs that scrap. Hope he has a good memory.

I am a middle kid...I was accused by my mom in 1986 if having a " chip on my shoulder" and being" jealous of my younger brother." Not quite true... I just wanted half the attention he got, I wanted my mom to share in my adult life too which she did not care to do...rather than spend time with me, she unloaded all her woes regarding my borther's cold and insensitive wife and would " suck up" to her to prevent anything from getting between her and my brother. But I could go jump in the lake.

Don't know if you are a middle child but if a middle kid gets the idea and nothing throughout life ever changes families won't be the same. When my folks were ill I took care of them as best I could and made trips to see them, work on the house etc. and as regards the brother's wife who is an alcoholic ( out of the wine now for 2 years) I tried to help him find resources for help, offered to take the load off where my autistic brother is concerned and little bro is into control I guess. Anyway...now the folks are gone, the estate is settled and guess what...my mail is not answered or a call made not returned and if some business comes in the mail, not even a short note comes with it. Now and then a call out of the blue space blue...an example of the estrangement...last december for theri anniversary we sent a lovely somewhat expensive gift for the two of them. For our anniversary last June we got a cyber card..not even a real one in the mail....go figure...
Seems when grunt work was needed I was a valued member of the family but now I can go fly a kite I guess. there is a lot more to the story but it would bore you all to the moon.

One thing we did with our girls...we told each one that they are the " favoite Daughter"... one day they found out among themselves that we told that to all of them...no sibiling rivelry as regard our attention to one more than another...if they have jealosy at all it is of their own achievements or lack..but they are all successful so that doesnt exist either.

If the middle kid seems to have a chip..better find out what it is especially if it involves how she feels about the other kids. If it is just about dicipline then just keep being as fair and even handed as you can.

good luck....and put electric wires up to keep the VIs out...

Looks like all the gang is off to slumber land. So I've put the coffee pot on...ready at 0600...plenty of bread for tosat and the jam is in the fridge. Kinda low on goodies so you can have some cereal or eggs and juice if you like. I'll leave the little light on so none of us step on our pets....lord when we are half asleep and on the way to the loo that shereek from the cat or dog if we step on em is enough to take 9 years off our life too *L*
