I AGREE.

Have been interested in whether the above 5.0 have been increasing. Evidently not the last 2 years. Have wanted to plot the USGS stuff on Excel but haven't gotten to it.

Does the lessening the last 2 years of some higher intensity quakes indicate a locking up and building up of pressure? I don't know. But it wouldn't surprise me.

In any case--given the state of the world, I personally don't expect God's mercy to extend forever in terms of the projected big quakes. Tooooo many puzzle pieces indicate otherwise.

We'll get some of those. Geology is cyclical and nothing in the world is steady-state. And there are far worse things that could happen to the world than a major earthquake, such as another Ice Age, a supervolcano eruption, a flood basalt or a major asteroid impact. Or, [shudder], Hillary could be elected president. So IMO concentrating on earthquakes as an indicator of end of days is probably not going to tell you much. But your opinion may vary...
