Does anyone remember the details of this story I remember hearing? President Bush Sr. was suppose to go by naval vessel to meet at some Arab summit. It had to do with Israel I believe.

Anyway the area the naval vessel was to land, was the exact same place that Paul was shipwrecked in a storm. I think Paul had gone against where God wanted him to be, or something.

When Bush Sr. arrived in the area there was such a terrible storm that it took a couple of days or more before he could safely leave the ship, and at the same time a hurricane off the coast of Maine tore up his house at Kennibunkport (sp). The same Hurricane that the movie "Perfect Storm" was made about.

Yes, here it is.  It was a judgment of God and a clear warning, obviously unheeded.  See this thread:   NEW MADRID--WHAT'S IN A NAME?

1. October 30, 1991: The Perfect Storm—As President George H. W. Bush is opening the Madrid (Spain) Conference to consider “land for peace” in Israel’s Middle East role, the “perfect storm” develops in the North Atlantic, creating the largest waves ever recorded in that region.

The storm travels 1000 miles from “east to west” instead of the normal “west to east” pattern and crashes into the New England Coast.  Thirty-five foot waves crash into the Kennebunkport home of President Bush.

And so, you can see the connection. A water channel is prophesied to replace dry land in the center of the United States along the New Madrid fault. The event that is said to be the cause of that division is the participation by the USA in the division of Israel. That process began in 1991 in Madrid, Spain. The meaning of the name of that fault, that is to be the place of the great division of the USA, given hundreds of years ago, is "THE WATER CHANNEL".
