Clearly a lot of this is NOT God dictating the Torah one character/letter at a time.

Some people get impressions and pictures and put words to them. Some people get words more or less dictated but seem to err on this or that word nuance or word ending. I give them grace as long as they seem in earnest. . . .and essentially, mostly right. I realize many would scream at such a standard in such an issue.

But present day prophets rarely get put on the back side of the desert for 30 years like Moses to clean their hearing up. And The Bible clearly says it's for the local congregation to judge and discard or not--with full implication that they weren't going to then go out and stone every erring person in that process. See I Cor 14.
