They keep predicting that there is gonna be a MAJOR quake in the Seattle WA to Vancouver, BC area soon. If one hit Vancouver that would be a major mess - they certainly didn't build their buildings earthquake proof.

They've been predicting "The BIG ONE" there since I was a kid. I think they'll be surprised and Portland wil be hit hard first.... Of course right now they are wrangling over how to replace the unsafe Alaskan Way viaduct on the Seattle waterfront. I think an earthquake will take it down before they make a decision.
The state capitol building in Olympia is still closed for major repairs on the dome, which shifted on its support columns during the Nisqually quake a couple of years ago.
