I was telling Gavin that I think there's a pervert nutcase on the jury holding things up....
Then I took Gavin to the Army recruiter's office. He's going to Dallas today and overnight to take tests and get a physical. He will go to boot camp in November.

Angry father of murder victim storms out of courtroom
Sanctimonious forgiveness by an idiot aunt and a lame sentence by a judge who needs a good thunk upside his own head with a baseball bat.
This was a brutal premeditated crime among thugs.

I withdrew months ago, Paul Simon is third string.

He will go to boot camp in November. Did he just decide this yesterday? He should have went for the Air Force.

FOFL.... you just don't see enough clinton cartoons.

Gavin is 18 - he graduated high school in May. Garrett is a 15 yr old sophomore and Gabe is 12 and in the 7th grade.

"you just don't see enough clinton cartoons" Clinton IS a cartoon.

He chickened out of signing up for the Marines. He wants to be in Special Forces, so he's going for the Army. He also thinks he'll get to go to Germany right away.
I agree - the Air Force would have been a better choice. But I am not consulted in these matters.

He chickened out of signing up for the Marines. He wants to be in Special Forces, so he's going for the Army. He also thinks he'll get to go to Germany right away. No one can be Special forces till their second enlistment, after the first 4 years are up. Before he can become Special Forces, he has to go through Ranger School. Ranger School is a lot harder than the Marine Corps. He is gonna be in for some surprises.

I have a bad feeling about this verdict. I hope I am wrong. That jury took way too long.
To: sweetliberty
I agree. I didnt follow the trial, but if he had blood in his camper thats enough for me. You never know with these Califonia juries.
To: Servant of the Nine
Army would have been my very last choice for him. He is as dumb as his brother Grant who believed the Navy recruiter. They believe they are their new best friends.
To: Servant of the Nine
He also thinks he'll get to go to Germany right away. If he wants to be Special Forces he will be going to Airborne School and then Ranger School and then some Specialty School, and then finish his enlistment here with the Ranger Baatallion

OK .. Got it .. for some reason I thought he was in his last year

The recruite will tell him anything to get him to sign. Verbal promises mean nothing and ones in writing always have a loophole. I fell for a verbal one.
