My worst sunburn ever was on my first trip to Hawaii. We were backpacking on Maui and hiking all over the island. I got so fried the first day out that it was too painful to even slip into my sleeping bag that night, and the next day I was having to take long breaks whenever there was shade. I couldn't bear the feel of the sun on my skin. The skin on my thighs actually had a bluish color it was so bad. I think I ended up with the best tan I ever had when I got back, but it was sure miserable for a few of days.

Wait a minute. Let me see if I have this right. They were GUESTS in OUR country by OUR goodwill. They send us people who make war on us. We get cautious, although still not as restrictive as just about any other country in the world. Our airport security people are humiliating and traumatizing American citizens beyond belief or reason while Arabs stroll right on through because God forbid we should be accused of racial profiling. We are getting new threats all the time. We take some measures to try and protect and defend ourselves against the known perpetrators and they have the audacity to sue US??????

Missie and Me makin' the rounds this morning. She is so much better,,she is batting me in the leg to pet her. That is really a good sign that she is back to her usual self.

I am off to the gym in just a little bit and an appt this afternoon..gotta check the time for that .\/. (that is my doubtful look) ~~ looks rather more angry huh....well, can't type worth s&i* this morning..be back in a bit....:)

They won't release her name, only that she is older than 65 and lives in central Waco. I doubt any of us know her.

Good news about Missy.

Yoda is favoring a front paw today -- totally pitiful. I think it is starting to swell. He gets infections in his legs so easily and always needs a vet visit and antibiotics to get well.

Garrett sees a podiatrist for his ingrown toenails this afternoon. The family doctor referred him - said he wouldn't treat them any more, he needs a specialist.

You, too? I read in another thread a week or so ago that another freeper's father was diagnosed with 'MeanEars' too. Hope the meds help you out.

Paul Simon, 60, will receive a Kennedy Center Honor in place of Paul McCartney, who bowed out of this year's Dec. 8 ceremony, it was announced Monday. Simon was set to receive the honor in a future ceremony; McCartney, who will receive his award next year instead, had to withdraw because of an unspecified personal obligation.
