Okay, what's the deal with moose, cheese and sister-biting? I must have been "unplugged" when this phenomenon evolved.

Read the opening titles to "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". It says all you need to know. :)

MOst of that comes from "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".

Not really sure when the cheese thing started, but it has grown to where it is now part of the lexicon of FR.

The Moose stuff took off during the Sniper thing with Chief Moose (It was basically a tension breaker during a scary time.

Someone will make a moose comment, another person responds with "A Moose bit my sister",and then another responds "Moos bites kan be nasti".

Cheese thread - originated as a common reply to a complaint thread -- "would you like some cheese with that whine?" That morphed into posting pictures of cheese, or just statements like "I like cheese." Moose was added later, an anachronistic reference to a line from the closing credits of Monty Python and the Holy Grail: "a moose once bit my sister." Mind you, moose bites can be pretty nasty . . .
