All I could find about Lee Youngflesh is that he is a "computer specialist," forensic analyst for the FBI field office in San Diego--thus quite knowledgeable about extracting (and installing?) hidden info on hard drives. He's a member of the La Mesa Rotary Club, a
Pantera racing buff (in a Sept. 1998
Nevada race he finished in 10th place at 96 mph)--likes excitement and danger?
Didn't find any articles on him regarding disciplinary action or previous infractions. In fact, every NEWS article mentioning his name that I found was from this case.
Could be that there are some LEOs on this case who genuinely believe that DAW is their guy, and helping the case along a little bit with some "extra" evidence is both justified and the right thing to do in their minds. I'm not saying that's true of Det. Youngflesh, just that the circumstances of him stumbling upon that incriminating envelope prominently displayed on DAW's bookshelf, as his story goes, is a bit curious.

WISH there was more on this article
Tlaltecuhtli ("Earth Lord") was a large earth monster in Aztec mythology described as female,
who desires flesh and has mouths at her elbows, knees, and other joints.
.... It is said she still screams for blood during the night & can only be soothed with sacrificial flesh
and blood
Came up when I was searching under left foot......

The big question is: Why was Youngflesh involved at all?
This was a missing persons case, seems to me local LE would be have the jurisdiction.

Found more on tthat sacrificial god....that Tepeyollotl's left foot has been replaced by a mirror - and not only that, it's a smoking mirror.
This is characteristic of Tezcatlipoca, he lost his foot in an ancient duel with the primal
water-monster Cipactli."
Ties in water and left foot......Hhhhmmmmm
