If you're not saying that the body is completely mummified, then what is your basis for saying that the flies would not have been attracted to the body until the coyotes or other animals got to it?

don't forget that in testimony, he stated that if a rodent or animal chewed through the mummified skin, the bugs would be lying in wait..and would have entered once the skin was open as long as there was still moisture.
