Shen's recall testimony is also where she states that she thought that the orange fiber from DW's afgan was a match to the other orange fibers, but then the microspectrophotometer test proved that they were not a match. Here's that exchange:

Q. SO WE KNOW THEN THAT THERE ARE CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE18 YOU MAY FORM AN OPINION THAT FIBERS MAY SHARE A COMMON SOURCE19 BUT WHICH UPON FURTHER ANALYSIS YOU GET AN EXCLUSION, CORRECT?
A. YES.

Feldman also gets Shen to say that the necklace fiber is dull orange, per her notes, and the other orange fibers are bright orange, also per her notes.

Later, during his re-cross, Feldman gets Shen to say that all of the colored fibers found on the sheet that Danielle's body was wrapped in (orange, green, red, blue, etc.) could have come from a multicolored blanket.
